TCS wins VSAT order with Australian government agency

TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) will be delivering a batch of its Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) satellite communications systems to the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO.)

The DSTO is the lead agency of the Australian government when it comes to protecting and defending Australia and its national interests through science and technology. The agency provides elements of national security with expert, impartial advice and innovative solutions.

TCS VSAT systems serve to transport encrypted voice, video and data both ways using various means of multimedia communications. These highly-transportable and rugged mobile SATCOM terminals are easily deployed and operated thanks to their user-friendly graphical user interface.

The company's product line also features inherent modularity and plug-and-play interfaces between all radio frequency (RF) and baseband configurations. End users can thus customize TCS systems to create solutions capable of accomplishing their individual and unique requirements for satellite communications.
